The New Child
Some of you may have noticed already that I have been quiet with my blog posts for a while. There are couple of reasons for that:
First, I have been on a journey to the Amazon in Ecuador, visiting a tribe called the Achuars with an Organization called Pachamama Alliance. The experience was so deep that I stayed in my cocoon for a while to process everything. Re-integration back to life was slow. I could not grip my focus on parenting, and children, because I kept wondering about the notion of balance. Balance has come to have new meaning in my life. BALANCE between life and death, nature and material, giving and taking begs the biggest question of all:
“Are we giving back enough to Mother Earth to balance what we are taking from Her?” When I say taking, it includes everything from the air that we breathe to the food that we eat. It includes the furniture, paper, medicine, electric, gas, water, clothes, and everything else we use in our daily lives from nature. The list goes on…
Am I in balance with Mother Earth and all that I take from Her ? I am not sure…. I will write more about this trip in later blogs. Until then, you can ponder with this question too.
The second reason that I had not written in a while was because I had been working on completing my EBook called “The New Child”. It is a short book with stories of real people that I came across. The stories have lessons for all of us, and at the end of each chapter there are some questions. You can also benefit from the lessons by reflecting on the questions. I hope you will enjoy reading it, and I would love to have your reviews. I also noticed that writing is quite addictive, and now I want to write more.
Note: The book is now available on ITunes and at Smashwords. Also, it will soon be available on Barnes & Noble, Amazon and several other online bookstores. You can download it on your IPhone with the application called Stanza or IBook.
